Flocculants
Drilling Fluids and Oil Recovery
In the oil and gas industry, flocculants help in solid-liquid separation. In drilling, they are used to treat the drilling mud by aggregating and removing drilled particles, to maintain the mud’s properties and extends its usefulness.
Flocculants also play a role in enhanced oil recovery, where they can help separate oil from water, or in managing produced water, which contains suspended solids.
Mining and Mineral Processing
In mining, flocculants help in the separation of minerals from ore slurries, where they aggregate fine particles and improve the efficiency of the extraction process.
Clarification of Fluids
Flocculants are used in water treatment, where they help clarify water by causing suspended solids to clump and settle, allowing for easier removal by filtration or sedimentation.
Flocculants are applied in wastewater treatment, where removing particles is essential before discharging or reusing water.

FHLS Reagent
Purpose
The FHLS reagent is designed to regulate the structural and mechanical properties of drilling clay solutions in order to improve their properties in terms of viscosity, water loss and heat resistance. The FHLS reagent is used by adding it to the drilling solution in an amount of 0.5-4.0%.
Properties
The addition of 0.5-4.0% FHL reduces viscosity, SNS, water loss and increases the thermal stability of fresh and mineralized drilling fluids (up to 15% NaCl), and also regulates the properties of gypsum and calcium chloride clay solutions.
KSSB drilling reagent
A modified lignosulfonate reagent from the series of condensed lignosulfonates.
Purpose:
The KSSB reagent is designed to reduce fluid loss and reduce the viscosity of solutions of various types (lime, calcium chloride), as well as mineralized solutions; at high bottomhole temperatures in fresh water, it ensures the maintenance of low fluid loss. KSSB is effective for the general improvement of solution properties.
Properties:
Additions of the KSSB reagent, depending on mineralization and temperature, fluctuate within 1-3% (per dry product). In fresh solutions, the KSSB-2M reagent has significant heat resistance (up to 200°C).
LSTP
Technical lignosulfonate powder – sodium, sodium ammonium salts of lignosulfonic
acids with an admixture of reducing and mineral substances.

Purpose
— in the chemical industry: stabilizer, dispersant, binder in the production of briquetted plant protection products;
— in the oil industry: reagent for regulating the parameters of drilling fluids;
— in the foundry industry: binder for forming molds for casting, additive to non-stick paints;
— in the cement industry and refractory production: cement plasticizer and binder.
Properties
LSTP is a by-product of wood processing, obtained from liquors of bisulphite pulp cooking. Water-soluble in any proportions
technical lignosulphonates have universal properties of surface-active substances.
